I wasn’t always a nomad, but I always knew I was meant for more…

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt about seeing the world. From feeling enraptured learning about other cultures in school when I was younger to taking trips with my family each year to the mountains or the beach, travel has been in my veins since the beginning.

At 13, I took my first trip without my parents to Germany and spent the summer connecting with European kids at a German circus camp.

At 16, I traveled to Australia and Fiji for a month without anyone I knew and immersed in the culture and the nature.

At 20, I took my first solo trip to Thailand while studying abroad in Australia.

At 22, I moved to Asia to teach English and turned what was supposed to be a 4-month trip into a year-long wild adventure.

I could go on 😄

No matter what I did, I was always drawn back to travel.

For years, I got stuck in a pattern of – working a job at home in Chicago until I simply couldn’t take it anymore, quitting so that I could travel, feeling more like myself than ever, falling in love with people and places around the world, returning home to find another job I would come to hate.

It took me YEARS of this before I finally started to work towards my dreams of becoming a nomad and working remotely so that I could travel the world as much as my heart desired.

And now, I travel the world full time with my partner. I’ve been to 50+ countries. I work remotely doing work I actually enjoy (for the most part). I’m still building up my dream business (including this blog!) but if my past self could see me now, she would be oh so proud.
